NutraBoss Coulter Cart Y-Drops are an alternative to traditional coulters, designed to deliver precise nutrient placement without ground-engaging components. By replacing coulters with a trailing drop system, operators gain speed, flexibility, and consistency — especially when field conditions aren’t ideal.
This highly requested configuration allows growers to apply later in the window, cover more acres per hour, and avoid the mud-related issues that often limit coulter performance.
Traditional coulters can struggle in damp or muddy conditions, forcing operators to apply earlier than planned or slow down to avoid plugging. NutraBoss Coulter Cart Y-Drops eliminate those limitations by removing soil contact entirely.
With no coulters in the ground, operators can:
Run faster through the field
Apply in wetter conditions
Reduce downtime caused by mud and residue buildup
The result is a wider, more forgiving application window when timing matters most.
Each Coulter Cart Y-Drop features a single-point swivel mount that allows the unit to deflect around obstructions and smoothly return to its natural operating position. During operation, only the drag hoses contact the ground, keeping the system stable and reducing wear on critical components.
This self-correcting design maintains consistent alignment while protecting the drop from damage in uneven terrain.
NutraBoss Coulter Cart Y-Drops are designed to equip the entire boom length of the cart, delivering uniform placement across every row. Like all NutraBoss Y-Drop systems, each setup is built to match your specific cart, boom, and spacing requirements to ensure proper fit and reliable performance.
A clean alternative to coulters — built for speed, flexibility, and real-world field conditions.
BugBoss is a precision attachment designed for fungicide and insecticide applications and can be easily added to existing NutraBoss Y-Drops. It incorporates nozzles that can be rotated to spray downward as well as upward and installation is easy — mount the plate with two U-bolts and route the single hose through the stick to your boom nozzle connection for clean, controlled delivery.
BugBoss systems can cover the full boom width and are versatile enough to operate across a wide range of corn heights. BugBoss is also available as a standalone system that pins to compatible brackets, and custom brackets can be built when needed to match your specific machine.
